The same incident link is used to link multiple reports for the same incident, when multiple parties are involved in an incident they will often each raise a separate report.

To prevent the requirement for multiple reports to be updated with the findings of the subsequent investigation, one report is identified as the prime report and this is the report that will contain the investigation findings.

Negotiation between the Occurrence Managers involved should decide which report will be the prime report.

All other reports should be marked as non-prime and linked to the prime report, these reports can then be sent to DDH/AM Review for closure.
