This type of linking is used to link reports while an investigation is ongoing and enables the results of the investigation on the master report to be added to all linked subordinate reports.

Reports can be linked in the following situation:

A report is raised and an investigation started (master report) during the course of the investigation additional reports (subordinate report) are raised for different occurrences of the same incident. Each additional report can be linked to the master report.

When the investigation is complete and the master report is closed the investigation results (Investigation, Findings & Recommendations tabs) will be copied to all subordinate reports and they will be closed as well.
