Causal Factors
Causal factors are split into three types:
  • Contributory: A Causal Factor which does not directly cause an Occurrence, but may have made it more likely.
  • Aggravating: A Causal Factor which does not cause an Occurrence but may have made the Effects more serious or costly.
  • Other: A noteworthy feature, including deficiencies discovered by an investigation, which was not an occurrence cause, contributory or aggravating factor but which, if actioned, might prevent similar future occurrences.
